NEW CONSTRUCTION FOR ADDITION

This home which is located a few hundred feet from the beach is undergoing renovations including a three story addition. Because of the size and weight of the structure the architects required twenty two A.B. Chance SS5 helical piles for additional support. The piles were installed to twenty kips (2000 foot pounds) and to a depth of nine feet. This particular design called for four of the piles to be battered or installed on an angle. The job was completed in one day.
